About This Event
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams.
Tennessee Williams' haunting memory play is read and studied in high schools, colleges and universities. But like Shakespeare to whom he is often compared, Williams' remarkable script must be seen in performance to be truly experienced and understood. In sequences that shift from the narrator's present back to his youth in Depression-era St. Louis, a man examines the choices he made and their impact on himself, his mother and his fragile sister. Drama, humor and hope mingle in this enrapturing story. The Acworth Theatre Company will present this American classic for only two consecutive weekends, from September 12 through September 21 with performances as follows:
- Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 PM
- Sunday matinees at 3:00 PM
All tickets are for general seating. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime—please plan to arrive no later than 10 minutes before the performance begins.
